The Department of Behavioral Health was seeking to design a logo to assist the agency in its marketing and communications efforts. The MMD branding team provided a design that encompassed elements that represent the District of Columbia (including the shape of the icon and the stars) along with an element that is reflective of the important outreach work the organization does (faces within the icon). Including the representation of faces inside the shape of DC represents the inclusive nature of services provided — the organization seeks to provide services in an open and supportive manner.
