For the second consecutive year, the MMD Branding team designed the annual report for the Mount Vernon Triangle Community Improvement District (CID). This year's theme, "Together," inspired an illustrative concept that highlighted the variety of activities and amenities available to residents and visitors of this vibrant community. Starting with a powerful leadership message, the report utilized a blend of illustration, infographics, and photography to effectively communicate the breadth of the CID's accomplishments in 2019 and over the past 15 years since its inception.
The report's design features a bright, colorful, and animated aesthetic that complements the theme of "Together," by portraying an energetic community that's actively engaging and interacting with its neighbors and local businesses. The design team crafted a cohesive aesthetic by threading these illustrations throughout the report, creating a unified and engaging visual narrative. These visual elements were mainly used to highlight critical information, and guide the eye strategically to ensure that important details were quickly and easily digestible.
MMD's creative team, including the creative director, art director, designers, and copy editor, came together to bring the client's vision to life. Their combined efforts resulted in one of MVT's liveliest and most well-received reports. This annual report stands as a testament to the CID's ongoing commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents and visitors, and that it understands what makes communities thrive.
