DCBIA 31st Annual Achievement Awards Gala

DCBIA 31st Annual Achievement Awards Gala

Over the past several years, the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA) has enlisted the expertise of MMD to design various materials aimed at raising awareness for its programs and events, as well as building membership. For its 31st annual achievement awards gala, DCBIA tasked MMD with designing and producing the event program, event signage, and a creative centerpiece to communicate important information about DCBIA and its corporate partners.

MMD took on the challenge by creating all the promotional materials needed for this significant event, helping to visually represent the firm’s mission. The goal was to ensure that the visual identity aligned with DCBIA's values and objectives, creating a cohesive and engaging experience for attendees.

For the event materials, MMD used a sophisticated combination of portrait and architecture photography with a double exposure technique. This approach highlighted the deep investment construction professionals have in their craft. By blending the faces of dedicated workers with the structures they help build, MMD crafted a compelling narrative that showcased their personal commitment and pride. The double exposure technique added artistic sophistication and emphasized the harmonious relationship between people and the built environment, making the visuals both striking and meaningful. This creative direction reinforced the gala's theme, celebrating the achievements and dedication of those in the building industry.
