        string(226) "In 2017, the DC Public Education Fund celebrated its 10th anniversary. To commemorate this milestone, the organization invited colleagues, partners, funders and others to a Philanthropy Forum on October 5th in Washington, D.C."

        string(714) "The goal was to share best practices and further important conversations about funding key educational initiatives.  In preparation for this important event, the organization looked to MMD to develop a brand identity for the forum and to design and develop the creative to promote the event across a variety of communications vehicles.
The MMD team created a logo, website, collateral materials, and signage. The design direction was inspired by the client’s desire to capture elements of growth and educational achievement, identify the 10-year anniversary and include a nod to the nation’s capital.

  string(864) "MMD created a logo and an extensive series of collateral materials for a new DC Public Schools initiative titled Cornerstones.  Cornerstones are specific lessons taught within the curriculum that serves to make learning more engaging and to ensure equal access to a quality education for all students. For the 2015-2016 school year, DCPS needed materials to help introduce the concept to parents and the community. MMD created the logo to symbolize the power and reach of learning through these enhanced lessons and also created iconography to represent various categories of subject matter. Once the identity was designed, collateral materials were developed to be used in conjunction with communications efforts. The project was awarded a 2016 American Graphic Design Award by GDUSA (Graphic Design USA).

  string(1665) "Flamboyan Foundation was seeking brand identity services to launch a new campaign to ensure families get the information and resources needed to support their children’s education. Called "REAL Family Engagement" the campaign targets school systems and communities across the country. MMD worked with the Flamboyan communications team to design print and digital assets to build awareness for the REAL initiative.  The scope of the work included brand identity, social media and other digital graphics, promotional products, posters, and environmental graphics that were showcased at a launch event in December in Washington, DC.

Guided by the belief that all children deserve the opportunity to live a fulfilling life, the Flamboyan Foundation works to ensure every child in the US and Puerto Rico receives an outstanding education. In D.C., Flamboyan is accelerating student learning by helping educators and school systems transform their relationships with families. In Puerto Rico, Flamboyan is ensuring students are reading in Spanish on grade level by third grade while building a thriving philanthropic and nonprofit sector.

In addition to programs supporting reading proficiency, the organization makes strategic investments, including a fund for the arts, hurricane relief and building a strong philanthropic community on the island. In October of this year,  The Flamboyan Arts Fund, a partnership between Flamboyan Foundation, Lin-Manuel Miranda, his family and the Hamilton musical, selected thirty-four organizations in Puerto Rico to receive grants totaling $4 million, for disciplines including performing arts, visual arts and literature."

  string(1262) "In early 2020, Chaise Management Group (CMG) approached MMD Branding to assist with designing exhibit and promotional materials for the firm to use at important upcoming trade shows. CMG is a management consulting firm that provides program management, facilities and logistics management and event management. The firm delivers sustaining business solutions to government, commercial and non-profit enterprise sectors. The CMG team, and its strategic alliances, consists of professionals with extensive management and technical experience across a wide range of disciplines. They provide specialized expertise and customized approaches to business process management, strategic planning, organization, design, leadership, development and diversity.


MMD worked closely with CMG, which recently celebrated its 5th anniversary, to determine the appropriate messaging for its exhibit materials, based on the firm's communications plan.  In concert with the messaging exercise, design solutions were created, incorporating the firm's existing brand identity, but taking a fresh approach with an extension of shape and color. Promotional products that featured the brand's bright primary color palette were also recommended.
