We The Girls: Young Women’s Leadership Conference

We The Girls: Young Women’s Leadership Conference

As a part of its initiative titled Reign: Empowering Young Women as Leaders, DCPS will host its second annual “We the Girls: Young Women’s Leadership Conference” on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Woodrow Wilson High School.  Reign was launched in 2017 by Mayor Muriel Bowser in a partnership with DC Public Schools and consists of programs to support young women of color. The Reign initiative aims to build community and confidence, as well as leadership skills in young women.  The We The Girls event is a one-day free conference offering workshops and discussions focusing on identity, health/wellness and leadership.

MMD’s branding division has designed the materials for the conference for the past two years, including the event logo, collateral materials and signage.
