The restoration and renovation of this residence in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood was an effort to respect the past beauty of the historic streetscape and to open the family townhouse to the serenity of a rear courtyard. As an urban oasis, the privacy of this courtyard is delineated by a new detached garage that conceals it from the adjacent alley. The renovation occurred throughout the entire structure with a new addition of a tower, providing an expanded kitchen with a large glass wall open to the backyard terrace. Above the kitchen, the addition houses a new second floor bedroom and deck, as well as a new third floor covered roof deck off the new master bedroom suite.
