Architectural Designer

POSITION DUTIES: Role responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of architectural design, from client presentations to construction administration. Support in designing and drafting bidding and construction documents in accordance with local codes. Collaborate with designers to develop a coherent design, encompassing both architectural and decorative elements. Problem-solve in designing and drafting bidding and construction documents in accordance with local codes. Consult with clients, as needed, to determine a project’s needs and client specifications for design elements. Gather the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other routine calculations for design layouts. Use REVIT software to produce architectural drawings for management and client approval. Rework designs based on comments and reviews from management and clients. May need to perform periodic site visits to monitor contractor progress, answer questions that may arise, and ensure construction is done to MMD’s specifications. May need to provide expertise and advice throughout the building process while also stepping in to prevent delays and to make changes to the initial project plan or construction documents as needed. Communicate with team leads, Project Managers, Designers, and Design Assistants to ensure teams are kept up to date on progress, changes and deadlines.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Architecture and Environmental Sciences required and 36 months experience. Must also have experience with Revit, MDesign, and Sketchup. Travel required within DMV area (DC, Maryland, Virginia)

SALARY: $ 55,328.00
