Michael Marshall Interviewed for America's Black Forum
Michael Marshall has been interviewed for the nationally-syndicated news feature program, America's Black Forum. The series, which first aired in 1977, has won two NAACP Image Awards for Outstanding News/Information programming.
Political analyst Marc Morial hosts this syndicated news magazine series featuring in-depth and engaging interviews with newsmakers, influencers, business entrepreneurs, artists, health and wellness experts and social justice leaders. America's Black Forum was an hourlong production from 1977 to 2006. and is now a 30-minute series.
The interview with Marshall, shot in Washington, DC, focuses on the fact that the number of black architects who are registered has remained at no more than 3% for decades. As architects are responsible for designing our urban centers and communities, it is more imperative than ever for there to be representation. Marshall discusses what must be done for the field to grow and become more diverse and inclusive, and for designers to truly prioritize understanding the communities they serve.
