MMD To Participate In AIA Conference On Architecture 2017

AIA Orlando is hosting the AIA Conference on Architecture 2017, scheduled to take place April 27-29. Of course, the city is well known for theme parks and entertainment attractions, but the Orlando area also features interesting architecture (from Frank Lloyd Wright, Bauhaus and Calatrava), and also boasts a vibrant arts community.

Approximately 20,000 convention attendees from across the building industry are expected to attend. The conference will feature more than 50 unique educational tours throughout Central Florida and

exhibits showcasing local projects and local talent at the Convention Center, in addition to informative and interesting programming that the annual conference is known for.

Marshall Moya Design is participating in a one-day workshop, being offered on Wednesday, the 26th (as part of pre-conference programming) starting at 8:30 am. The workshop titled GROW: Cultivating the Next Generation of Architectural Leaders, is geared towards emerging leaders and mid-career architects seeking inspiration and knowledge. As part of the workshop, participants will take part in a 90-minute fully interactive training session on presentation skills.  Other topics that will be addressed will include business development, business structure, financial management, and talent management.

Marshall Moya Design will join an esteemed panel that will include:  Carol Doscher, CEO of Graceworks, Inc.; Thomas Gluck, Principal of Gluck+; Rena Klein, Principal of RM Klein Consulting; Joel Peterson, Director of Human Resources of Goshow Architects; and Dan Wood, Partner of WORK Architecture Company.
