Julieta Guillermet

Julieta Guillermet is an architectural designer and public artist with more than 12 years of experience. Her expertise are Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Art, Social Impact Design, Fully Immersive Experiential Design, Digital Fabrication and Sustainable Design. She contributes to the firm mainly as a designer, always looking to break the paradigm searching for a solution outside the box. Always looking to generate the user immersively experience through design art and the latest technologies.

 

She is the recipient of numerous design awards for her work, including recognition in the 2020 The Architect’s Newspaper Best of Design Awards for Society’s Cage, a temporary public art installation in Washington, DC.

 

She is on the leading edge of software and technologies related to the industry. Juli received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Universidad de Mendoza and subsequently completed a degree in Landscape Specialization (Architecture and Landscape) at Virginia Tech.

 

She has extensive experience, knowledge and skills in managing projects from schematic design to construction administration, as well as initial negotiation and PUD stages.

 

At MMD she has worked on educational as well as commercial, cultural, civic and residential projects. Previously she worked as a designer with SmithGroup JJR in Washington, DC, where she focused on cultural and workplace projects. In her personal practice she focuses on special design projects and public art.
