Alice joined MMD in 2018 as an intern, supporting the architecture and interiors teams and lending her expertise to all aspects of the design process. She is skilled in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Rhinoceros, as well as Revit. Additionally, her design skills include proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. A true creative talent, she is also skilled in hand drafting, sketching and model making. Prior to joining MMD, Alice was a Design Intern with Habitat for Humanity in Maryland, where she helped redesign housing for future eligible participants. Alice is a graduate of Montgomery College, earning an ASS in Architecture/Construction Technology. While attending Montgomery College, she served as both Secretary and President of the Architecture Club. She was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and earned a spot on the Dean’s List every semester. She was honored with the Dr. Harry Harden Jr. Student Academic Excellence Scholar award and also the Renaissance Honors Program Scholar award. Alice grew up in Central Africa, and speaks French, Swahili and Lingala. She is passionate about giving back. In addition to her work with Habitat for Humanity, she has volunteered for Manna Food here in the U.S. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, she participated in a Literature Competition to raise money to support community members in need.
