Each year, DC business leaders, philanthropic champions, education partners, and civic leaders come together for a Standing Ovation for DC Public Schools, a star-studded awards ceremony honoring the achievements of DCPS’ top teachers, leaders, and school communities. The evening features awards for Principal of the Year and Teacher of the Year, as well as recognition for highly effective leaders throughout school communities. Event sponsors include distinguished organizations such as The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Flamboyan Foundation, Pepco, Medstar, and more.

For it's 10th Anniversary milestone year, MMD was retained to design materials for the event which included a special logo, Save the Date cards, formal invitations, sponsorship materials, event programs, and event signage. The design aesthetic was rich and elegant, utilizing metallic ink and special effects to convey the sophistication and prestige of the event. This cohesive and striking visual identity helped to elevate the overall experience for attendees and reinforced the significance of the milestone celebration.

MMD’s work for the DC Education Fund extends beyond the "Standing Ovation" event. Previously, the team also designed materials for the 10th anniversary of the organization itself, further solidifying the strong partnership between MMD and the Fund. MMD has consistently supported the Fund's mission to celebrate and uplift the achievements within the DC Public School system.
