“The charge for this project was the renovation of an existing attic space into a master bedroom suite. The existing shell of the attic set the parameters for this newly-utilized square footage that had previously been a storage area. Access to the attic was already available by a centrally located stair from the second floor. The volume and dimensions of the space, determined by the existing roofline, became a welcomed attribute in the final shape of the room. Existing full-height windows in the attic help define the frosted glass-enclosed area of the master bathroom and the head of the sleeping alcove. Built-in storage was added behind panels located in the knee wall area under the roofline. ”
