The purpose of the guide was to inform and educate staff on policies, procedures and resources for families and students for whom English is a second language.

“At DCPS, we believe that engaged families are crucial partners in supporting our students’ success. Linguistically and culturally diverse families are no exception and we know that one of the most effective ways to strengthen home-school partnerships is to break down language barriers.”
