Tony manages the firm’s architectural enterprises, which includes coordinating day-to-day operational needs, contract and schedule management, contract negotiation, coordination with stakeholders, establishing quality control standards, and ensuring deadlines are met. He oversees contractors and sub-consultants to ensure successful project coordination and execution. He has extensive experience in architecture, drafting, contract and schedule management, and working collaboratively with clients, sub-consultants, architects, and engineers on commercial, institutional and cultural projects. His experience includes preconstruction and construction services for conventional and design-build projects. He is licensed in the District of Columbia and in Maryland.

With close to 20 years of professional architecture experience, Yoshio’s extensive portfolio includes substantive experience in commercial, large-scale residential, institutional and mixed-use work.

In his role at MMD, he is actively involved in programming, schematic design, design development, preparing construction documents and comprehensive timelines and budgets, and fulfilling project specifications, while leading project management. He has contributed to diverse projects including The Howard Theatre; the University of the District of Columbia Student Center; Leckie Elementary School; DMV in the District; and a 20,000 square-foot private residence. He also worked on the Michelle Obama Southeast Center of Bread for the City the new stadium for DC United, Audi Field, as well as Amazon H2Q.  Currently, he is working on numerous projects for the DC Superior Courts. Prior to joining MMD, Yoshio worked with some of the area’s leading developers to design and manage a number of notable projects, including new construction high-rise condominiums with ground-floor retail, throughout the District and also in New York City.

He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Hokkaido Tokai University and Master of Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. He is licensed in the District of Columbia and in Maryland.

With over 30 years of architecture and design experience, Larry’s portfolio includes a collection of commercial, residential, historic preservation, retail and mixed-use projects. Larry specializes in large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments, and is proficient in all aspects of design, production and construction administration. In his role at MMD, he manages the design process, maintains quality control, secures bids and negotiates vendor contracts, oversees subcontractor work, reviews and approves submittals and payments, maintains and generates records and reports, and leads the successful completion of each project. Larry has practiced architecture in both Miami and Washington, D.C. and is an active member of the AIA Continental European Chapter. In his free time, he enjoys art with a nice glass of wine.

Mohaned is a creative and innovative architect with experience leading large-scale and high profile commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, educational, and residential projects for more than 13 years. He participates in conceptual and schematic design and design development. Proficient in taking projects from concept to completion, he excels in cost-effective problem solving, team collaboration, and possesses deep knowledge of building materials, codes, construction management and construction methods.

With exceptional leadership and management skills, he effectively coordinates between sub-consultants, contractors and client representatives. He is skilled in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, and Sketchup.

Before joining MMD he worked with global firms in Dubai and Europe as a Senior Architect and also in Miami, Florida. Projects of note included his management of the renovation of the Iconic Tower of Burj Rashid, the oldest skyscraper in Dubai, Dubai Expo 2020 Park and NEOM City project in Saudi Arabia in association with Michael Graves Architecture and Design.

Mohaned received his Bachelor of Engineering in Architecture from Sudan University of Science and Technology. He is fluent in English and Arabic.

Eman is an architect designer and project manager with Michael Marshall Design. She is responsible for working with the architectural design team to develop and review plans, create and oversee project budgets and timelines, and manage contractors. She works closely with MMD clients from schematic design and design development through to construction administration, keeping them informed of progress and ensuring their questions are promptly addressed and needs are met throughout the project life cycle.
Her areas of expertise include architectural design, urban planning, interior design, planning regulations, workplace health and safety, structural engineering and environmental solutions. Eman possesses highly effective communications skills, and has experience in Revit, 3Ds MAX and AutoCAD 2D/3D, as well as Illustrator and Photoshop. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Port Said University in Egypt and she is fluent in both English and Arabic.

Julieta Guillermet is an architectural designer and public artist with more than 12 years of experience. Her expertise are Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Art, Social Impact Design, Fully Immersive Experiential Design, Digital Fabrication and Sustainable Design. She contributes to the firm mainly as a designer, always looking to break the paradigm searching for a solution outside the box. Always looking to generate the user immersively experience through design art and the latest technologies.

She is the recipient of numerous design awards for her work, including recognition in the 2020 The Architect’s Newspaper Best of Design Awards for Society’s Cage, a temporary public art installation in Washington, DC.

She is on the leading edge of software and technologies related to the industry. Juli received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Universidad de Mendoza and subsequently completed a degree in Landscape Specialization (Architecture and Landscape) at Virginia Tech.

She has extensive experience, knowledge and skills in managing projects from schematic design to construction administration, as well as initial negotiation and PUD stages.

At MMD she has worked on educational as well as commercial, cultural, civic and residential projects. Previously she worked as a designer with SmithGroup JJR in Washington, DC, where she focused on cultural and workplace projects. In her personal practice she focuses on special design projects and public art.

As an architectural designer with MMD, Alex supports the architecture team across design development and construction administration. He has expertise in preparing permit drawings for commercial and residential projects; performing building code analysis; producing schematic design, design development, and construction documents; selecting materials and systems based on technical properties and aesthetic requirements; preparing cost of work estimates; and reviewing drawings and submittals during construction for conformance to design intent. He has a particular interest in incorporating sustainable materials and techniques into projects. Alex is also a talented architectural visualization artist, creating 3D models, renderings and animations for a variety of projects. His software skills include AutoCAD, SketchUp, Twinmotion, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and V-Ray. His extensive design skills enable him to produce preliminary designs, concept plans and sketches as he works with clients to gather information about project goals, presenting design alternatives to achieve consensus, and maintain proposal intent. A skilled problem solver, Alex is passionate about design, construction and sustainability, as he works to find solutions to client needs while collaborating to bring projects in on time and on budget.

As a designer, Marco assists the architecture team from design development through construction administration project phases. He supports projects MMD is working on as partners with Gensler Design. Marco is skilled in a variety of programs, including Revit, AutoCAD, Archicad, and Vectorworks. He is also well-versed in Lumion, Autodesk 3ds Max, Twinmotion and V-Ray and well as Adobe products that include Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Prior to joining MMD, he worked as an architectural drafter for a DC-based architecture firm and as a graduate assistant for the University of the District of Columbia. He earned his Master of Architecture degree and his Bachelor of Science degree from UDC. While a student there, he earned numerous honors and awards, including being named to the 4.0 Club for his academic achievements. He was also a member of the UDC men’s tennis team, earning an NCAA athletic scholarship for his studies, and being named team captain for two years. For his academic and athletic accomplishments, he was named an ITA (Intercollegiate Tennis Association) Scholar Athlete for three years.

Alice joined MMD in 2018 as an intern, supporting the architecture and interiors teams and lending her expertise to all aspects of the design process.  She is skilled in AutoCAD, Sketchup and Rhinoceros, as well as Revit. Additionally, her design skills include proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. A true creative talent, she is also skilled in hand drafting, sketching and model making.

Prior to joining MMD, Alice was a Design Intern with Habitat for Humanity in Maryland, where she helped redesign housing for future eligible participants. Alice is a graduate of Montgomery College, earning an ASS in Architecture/Construction Technology. While attending Montgomery College, she served as both Secretary and President of the Architecture Club. She was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and earned a spot on the Dean’s List every semester. She was honored with the Dr. Harry Harden Jr. Student Academic Excellence Scholar award and also the Renaissance Honors Program Scholar award.

Alice grew up in Central Africa, and speaks French, Swahili and Lingala. She is passionate about giving back. In addition to her work with Habitat for Humanity, she has volunteered for Manna Food here in the U.S. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, she participated in a Literature Competition to raise money to support community members in need.

Chrys manages the firm’s communications and marketing initiatives, and works with branding clients to develop creative solutions for collateral, publications, advertising, identity systems, websites and exhibits. She is an award-winning creative director with more than 30 years of experience helping clients build brand, business and membership with compelling creative solutions. She has worked with global brands and high-profile organizations across a number of industries, including commercial real estate, professional services, healthcare, sport and entertainment, technology, hospitality, education, consumer product and not-for-profit. Chrys volunteers with organizations that mentor women, including serving on the board of Women in Sports and Events (WISE DC).

As Director of Creative Services, Jan works across all design disciplines. In architecture, he prepares preliminary architectural designs, construction drawings, 3D modeling, project documentation, and conceptual designs. He also contributes to the firm’s graphic design and branding projects. He is skilled in Autocad and Revit, as well as InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. In branding, he works on large-scale graphics and exhibits, as well as identity systems, presentations, marketing collateral and promotional marketing. Jan is a skilled design strategist, creative thinker and leader. While in college, he co-founded De-Cycle, Inc., a collaborative of designers who worked on projects ranging from furniture design to exhibits. His work earned him a GSEA Global Entrepreneurship Award. Jan enjoys all forms of creativity and is fond of dynamic storytelling, graphic novels, cinema, music and poetry.

Daniela Pay is part of the branding team, assisting with a variety of client projects – from editorial and publication design to marketing collateral, including print and digital assets. Experienced in brand identity, she enjoys building out identity systems to provide clients assets they may use to continue to build their brand. She is also well versed in packaging design and has particular interest in manual-analog art.   Prior to joining MMD, she worked as a senior graphic designer for several boutique agencies, where she worked with professional services firms, consumer product companies and nonprofit organizations. A graduate of the Jorde Tadeo Lozano University with a degree in Graphic Design, she is also a skilled embroidery designer, participating in Embroidery Expositions when she has opportunity in her schedule. In her spare time, Daniela also enjoys photography, reading and music.

Originally from Alabama, Chris has over 20 years of IT experience in the greater Washington, D.C. area. Chris’s knowledge and experience cover a wide array of IT specialties including the installation, maintenance and support of a Windows Server and PC-based network, firewalls, anti-virus protection and eradication, secure access to shared resources–including remote storage and printers, and wireless solutions. He also performs system and network analysis that addresses redundancy and points of failure, backup and restore routines, and system upgrades that encompass both software and hardware requirements. In his previous position, he worked at Mobil Oil’s Corporate Headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia. He earned a B.A. from Syracuse University, has A+ Certification from CompTIA in both software and hardware, and is a certified Paralegal.
